Muscular Energy Technique (MET)
MET is a term used to describe a number of ways of using patient energy rather than strength of physical therapy to restore balance and release muscle tension . These techniques were originally developed by osteopaths, but since they are mainly soft tissue techniques they have become a regular component of remedial massage therapy. The techniques focus on very specific muscles while the rest of the body remains static. This technique is therapist lead, if you are open to receiving physical therapy this will work for you.
